Anonymous — I don’t know if this will be covered or if you can’t answer right now, but I’d Eddie going to change majors? He doesn’t seem satisfied with business...
I would like him to! But it really depends on how everything plays out. HOWEVERRR, with @thetheatregal playing Richie and @hanscomarsh as Ben, I think it’s only a matter of time before Eddie starts prioritizing his own interests and enjoyment over simply following the path that’s been laid out for him. Sooo… stay tuned!!

Wednesday, 08/29, The Library Cafe, mid-morning
- Setting the Scene: Eddie and Ben bump into each other - literally. A drink is spilled, but this time it’s not used to cover up a blood stain. Still… some things never really change. (Shout-out to readers who love book throwbacks, because we went all-out in this meeting)
- Word Count: 3,100+ ; Warnings: none
Eddie’s early morning Human Resources class had been just as uneventful as it was on the first day, at least in terms of the content presented. He ended up yet again spending most of the session talking quietly to Richie after delivering him his coffee, as promised, and… he was surprisingly quite okay with that.
Now, seeing as he has an hour to kill before his next class, he finds himself checking out the little cafe in the front room of the campus library. As he absentmindedly looks over the menu options for coffee, his mind starts to drift to Richie, and Bill, and the discovery that they apparently all grew up in Derry, as well as the - unrelated but still odd - feeling that something is also up with his roommate, Stan. Eddie is, as a result of his daydreaming, almost totally unaware of what is happening around him, so the students who actually know what they want keep cutting in front of him to order their drinks and breakfast sandwiches, though he doesn’t notice and wouldn’t mind even if he did.
I think about this little piece of writing a lot, because it makes me super emotional. Eddie and Ben have a wonderful bond that really didn’t get explored much in the movie? The MOST wholesome friendship, tbh. So me and my super best friend @hanscomarsh are making up for it now in our RP. And because she loves Ben as much as I love Eddie, it’s perfect.
Eddie to Bill: Thanks dad.
Eddie: Why is everyone staring at me?
Mike: You just called Bill dad, you said thanks dad.
Eddie: What? No, I didn’t. I said thanks man.
Bill: Do you see me as a father figure, Eddie?
Eddie: No, if anything I see you as a bother figure, cause you’re always bothering me!
Stan: Hey, show your father some respect.

Omg, please send questions, I don’t mind at all! I love it. I literally lose my shit in my discord group every time I get a message about my meta or asking for some kind of analysis, because it means SO much to me that anyone bothers to read my stuff. Like it really, truly makes my day. And it’s definitely not taking advantage, because I enjoy writing it. Like, after 14 years, there’s finally a large fandom for IT and at long last I have an outlet for writing and expanding on a lot of the thoughts I’ve had since I was a teen… that, and I don’t get to do a lot of academic-ish writing nowadays, so it’s really enjoyable for me.
I’m always unsure about posting stuff like that because I’m afraid it will be too long or dumb and people won’t care, so it just really means a lot whenever anyone says that they like it or asks for more. Especially when it’s about Eddie; I could talk about Eddie for five years straight and never run out of things to say. Don’t worry!
